  • A hospital in California is looking for an experienced MedSurg nurse for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience, hold an active ACLS, BLS and CA License.

    • Job Requirements
    • 2 full years of experience
    • Active ACLS, BLS and CA License required
    • Travelers may be expected to float frequently
    • Cerner EMR system experience required
    • No first time travelers
    • Charge nurse must have ACLS
    • Basic arrhythmia skills expected
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts/Hours: 12's; 7a - 7:30p/7p - 7:30a
      • Weekends: Every other weekend or equivalent of 4 weekend days in a 4 week schedule (Example: could be 2 in a row, then off 2 in a row)
      • Day Shift Weekend is Sat/Sun; Nights is Fri/Sat
      • Breaks: 1/2 hour break (clock-out); 3 - 15 min breaks per shift (CA Law)
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Charge Nurse: Yes (they don't take patients but help staff nurses)
        • Nurse Aides availability can vary depending on census
        • Tele: Pt's on tele monitored remotely by 5W monitor station/techs (6E shares tele monitors with 5E)
        • IV Team: No - ICU & ER can assist with hard IV sticks
        • RT 24/7: Yes
        • Pharmacy 24/7: Yes & Omnicell
