  • Peds ER position at Memorial Hospital in Bakersfield, California.
  • The unit has a separate waiting room and a built-in fast track room off the lobby.
  • There are 5 treatment rooms and 6 chairs for patient care in the Peds ER.
    • Job Requirements
    • Significant Peds ER experience required, not just general experience.
    • Travelers must have similar experience with the volume of patients seen per day.
      • Schedule Information
      • 12-hour shifts with no block scheduling.
      • 4 weekend shifts per month required, which can be 1 per week or 2 every other week.
      • Travelers are expected to work holidays unless it falls during contracted time off.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Ratios: Peds 1:4, PICU 1:2, procedural sedation 1:1.
        • No separate area for ER holds; ER RNs manage their own holds.
          • Additional Details
          • Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, ENA ESI Certificate & ENPC or CPEN preferred.
          • Cerner experience is required for this position.
          • In-house security is available.
