Position Summary
Allan Hancock College is seeking a dedicated and innovative
individual to join our Social and Behavior Sciences department as a
full-time, 175-day (10-month annual contract) tenure-track faculty
member. The successful candidate will be committed to providing
high-quality education to a diverse student body, focusing on
fostering an inclusive, supportive, and academically challenging
learning environment. This position involves teaching various
psychology courses, both in-person and online, and contributing as
an active member of the department and the college. The assignment
may include teaching at off-campus centers and/or evening classes
as well as distance education/online classes.Allan Hancock College
is a California public community college located in northern Santa
Barbara County. The college is ranked as one of the five best
community colleges in California and one of the top 120 community
colleges in the nation. Approximately 11,500 credit students enroll
each semester at one of the college's four locations in Santa
Maria, Lompoc, Santa Ynez Valley, or at Vandenberg Space Force

Master's degree in psychology ORBachelor's degree in psychology and
a master's degree in counseling, sociology, statistics,

Beginning Date: August 2025, pending board approval.The hiring
salary range is $69,030 to $91,651 dependent upon education and
experience.This position will be required to teach both in-person
and online courses.
