Job Description:
Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED -
Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Bakersfield,
California.Job Description & Requirements
- Certs: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS,
- Ratios: 1 to 4 unless ICU patient would be 1 to 2
- EMR: Cerner (required)
- Charge Nurse: Shift manager & a resource nurse
- Nurse Aides: ED Techs are EMT or aides from other units
- Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule
Weekends are Fri/Sat for nights & Sat/Sun for days"
- Holidays: 1 major & 1 minor
- Scrub Color: Navy blue. If you wear a scrub jacket it also must
be navy. If you wear an undershirt underneath your scrub top it
must be navy, white, or black.
- Tele: Phillips
- Vents: yes
- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes - only use MD's in the
ER
- IV Team: No
- RT 24/7: Yes
- Pharmacy 24/7: Yes & Omnicell
- Shifts: Days and Nights
- Floating: Floating could happen between the 2 facilities to the
ER. If floated prior to shift, would get a 2 hour notice prior
start. Midshift floating could happen. The facilities are only 6.5
