  • A hospital in California is looking for an experienced GI nurse for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience.
    • Job Requirements
    • Hold an active CA License.
    • 2 years of experience required.
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts: M-F, 8 hr shifts, would consider doing 10 hr shifts, 7:30am-4pm most days.
      • Call is required every other weekend - 24 hours on Sat and Sun.
      • Call is required - 2 evenings per week from 4pm-7:30am.
      • Holidays: they will rotate in with perm staff.
        • Additional Details
        • Unit: GI Lab
        • # of cases per day: they do not always have GI cases per day, 2-5 cases on average.
        • EMR: Cerner
        • Charge Nurse: PACU charge fills in to help GI lab
        • What is call response time: 30 minutes
        • Scrub Color/ Provided: provided
        • Tele: phillips
        • Surgeon on call hours: GI docs are on call
        • IV Team: No
        • RT 24/7: Yes
        • Pharmacy 24/7: No - use marian for after hours after 10pm
        • Floating: float between pre-op, PACU, and GI lab
        • Floor specific orientation: one week depending on the traveler
        • Common types of cases: Bronchs, upper and lower endoscopies, ERCP's.
