LanceSoft is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel
nursing job in Bakersfield, California.Job Description &
Requirements
Roles and Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive medical and post-surgical nursing care in a
fast-paced Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) unit.
Monitor, assess, and document patients' conditions, including vital
signs, wound care, IV therapy, and post-operative recovery.
Administer medications, manage pain, and respond to any
complications or changes in patient status.
Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary
teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Provide patient education on post-hospital care, medications, and
treatment plans to ensure continuity of care.
Maintain strict infection control measures and ensure adherence to
hospital policies and procedures.
Work within a patient ratio of 1:5-6, ensuring high-quality care
and responsiveness to patient needs.
Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient tracking.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 3+ years of recent Medical-Surgical experience
required.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS - Required.
Technical Skills: Cerner EMR - Required.
Strong ability to multitask in a high-acuity environment with
diverse patient conditions.
