We are proud of--the doctors--we have appointed to provide you and your pet the highest level of care possible.About the role:Advanced Veterinary Specialists is seeking a full-time day/swing shift--Veterinary Technician to join the ER team.Duties and responsibilities you may own in this role:Triage and prioritize incoming patientsStabilize patients in critical conditionAssist with diagnostic proceduresAdminister medications and fluidsProvide wound care and post-surgical supportMonitor vital signs and report abnormalitiesAssist during surgeries and emergency proceduresCommunicate with pet ownersMaintain accurate medical recordsEnsure cleanliness and sanitizationEducate pet owners on aftercareCollaborate with the veterinary teamStay updated through continuing educationOffer compassion and emotional support to patients and owners.Compensation range $26.00 - $35.00 hourly plus differentials.$1,000 sign-on bonus for new full-time ER employees!Basic Required Qualifications:High school diploma2+ years--of clinical experience--in the veterinary industry, ER experience preferredCurrent and valid RVT license in the state of CA is preferredStrong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and exhibit confidentiality and discretion where appropriateConsistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculationsMaintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60-days of hire or transfer into this role; (this requirement is waived if incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license)Schedule:Full-TimeDay ShiftsWeekends are requiredFull time benefits include:Health, dental, vision, disability and life insurances, flex-spending accounts, 401(k), Employee Assistance Program, 3 weeks accrued paid time off, and uniformsHighly competitive and comparable wages based on experience and skill set.Competitive Vet Assistant and RVT CE allowance annuallyVetBloom access: Race approved continuing education, training, and curriculum libraryLicense application and renewal reimbursement for RVT'sOpportunities for growth and advancement--Join us at Advanced Veterinary Specialists in beautiful Santa Barbara and be part of a life saving team!Ethos Veterinary Health is at the forefront of innovation and world-class medicine.
